Hello
and welcome to all Flemish Giant
breeders, owners or those who may be
interested in the breed. At the last
WCFG meeting held on March 18, 2007,
there was a changing of the guard. But
before going forward I would like to
thank a few people that should be
recognized for their contribution and
founding the WCFG club. They are John
and Shere Machado, Bill Mairs, Allen and
Tammy Bush, and Jeff and Ann Mullinax.
Thank you for your knowledge of the
breed and for your friendship.
A
little bit about myself and how I have
grown to love these gentle giants. Six
years ago I was introduced to the
Flemish Giants by a friend that said I
have something for your daughters 4H
project. Well one turned into having two
and two turned into eight and the
numbers kept increasing. My daughter and
I in the past five years have been to
Northern California, Central California,
Southern California, Nevada, Arizona and
Texas showing rabbits. We have
met a lot of great people and have
become good friends with many. From a
parent's point of view the time spent on
the road with your child is priceless.
I
would like to say it is a privilege to
be a part of the WCFG club and to work
with such a great Board of Officers and
Directors. I know there is an abundance
of new and exciting things going on in
the club starting with a second show
coming this fall. Be sure to check back
and read our quarterly news report for
the locations and dates of the shows,
show results, tips on raising rabbits,
and much more.
