Our National
Flemish Giant Web Site
HOW TO PAY FOR IT
Dear
Members,
We
need to find ways to pay for the maintainance our Flemish Giant
Web Site
(www.nffgrb.com
). We have a World Class Web Site that has had over
118,400 visits, and is presently getting at least 500
visits per week. When the National Flemish
Federation started the Web Site, it had a much narrower
scope. It has
evolved into a site being used by many of our
Area, State Specialty Clubs, and General Members for
advertisements of Club activities or self promotions.
I think this is great and have no problem with any of this.
However, we need to pay for the site that cost us approximately
$700 a year to run and maintain.
I have a few ideas on how we may end up paying for this
site. The Board will have the final say so on the
affairs of this Web Site and how it will be paid for.
-
Donations – Any member wishing to donate
money toward this site may send a check to
Judie Welch, our Sec./Treas., and stipulate that the
money is for maintaining the Clubs Web Site.
(Those members that donate will be listed in the Web
Site).
-
Club Advertisements and Use of Web Site – We are
asking for a donation of $50 per year from each
Flemish Giant Area or State Specialty Club. (Money
to be sent to the National Flemish Federation Sec.,
Judie Welch.) This will allow your Area or
Specialty club to advertise your upcoming shows and
show results as well as pictures of your shows
on the web site. (Pictures of
National Conventions, and the Flemish Giant National
Show will continue to be promoted on this site as
originated when site was put into existence). Those
Area or Specialty Clubs that do not wish to donate
to the above yearly user fee of $50 will not have
access to place advertisements on the Web Site, unless
they pay each time they want information entered.
This will be $30 fee each time Ads for shows,
Pictures or coverage of shows are asked to be put on
the Web Site. The Website Web Master will have
the right to refuse or postpone posting ads
due to room constraints. Clubs paying the $50
yearly fee will get first priority. (If any club is
refused posting space on the web site for shows or
results, they will have their money returned.)
-
Individual Advertisement on the Web Site –
For each member wishing to have their names, emails
and website links listed on the National Web Page
(Breeders Directory),
there will be a charge of $5 per year.
Note: Those Area or Specialty Clubs that advertise
yearly on our Web Site will also be allowed to use our
site for their Clubs Web Site or links to them.
(We
will follow these guidelines unless someone comes up
with a better idea)
