The National Flemish Giant
Federation had a Grand conclusion with the
celebration of our 90th anniversary in
Indianapolis, Indiana during the week of Oct. 23rd.
The 82nd National Convention put on by
the, “Hoosier Rabbit and Cavy Shows, Inc.”, was one
of the most magnificent shows that we have ever
attended, and also the largest entry ever shown at
any convention. I would like to personally thank
all the members both in the Open, and Youth for
attending this wonderful show, and sharing in our
anniversary festivities. (Reports on this shows,
pictures, etc. will show up in our newsletter, and
web site).
One of the major events at the
National Convention meeting that will impact our
organization was the announcement of our new Sec/Trea.
Judie Welch from Pa.. Allen Bush has elected to
step down, and is being replaced by Judie who I have
the utmost confidence will do and outstanding job
for the Federation. After December all things
relating to this position can be sent to Judie at
1460 McGill Hollow Road, Linden, Pa. 17744-7722.
Her e-mail is

570-321-1013. Lets everyone welcome Judy aboard.
A Big thank you Judie from the President and the
Federation for accepting this Giant position to move
our organization into the future.
At the same time I would like to
give a Giant Thank You to my Friend who stuck by me
during hard times, and made my job as President a
very easy one. Allen Bush, from the bottom of my
heart a very Giant Thank you for a Job Well Done. (A
report will be in this newsletter to recap Allen’s
contributions to our organization in his tenure as
Sec./Trea.). Allen will be continuing to keep our
Sweepstakes points to assist Judie.
Our next big event will be the
2006 National Show that will be held in Sedalia,
Missouri on April 7th, 8th,
and 9th. This will be the Midwest
Spring Flemish Spectacular hosted by The Regional
Flemish Giants RBA, and the Texas Flemish Giant
Club. Hosting the show will be our Giant Members
Will, and Christi Sutton’s from Missouri, and
Charlie Sikes from Texas. This is going to be a
great event, and we are looking for all our members
to put this one on their calendars and to come and
participate in the festivities. The first Show
starts on Friday night at 6:30 p.m., and will
conclude on Sunday after the Regional Show. We will
also have a wonderful Banquet planned for all of us
to share our night together on Sat. night. For
