National Federation of Flemish Giant Rabbit Breeders, Inc.
By Allen Bush, Secretary
As I write this letter, the convention is less than 4 weeks away. Tammy and I are getting settled in our new home. Our new address is 10216 Churchman Lane. Our new E-mail is bushflemish@direcway.com. The 2003 Sweepstakes series has ended. Final Results are as follows: Charles Ray, KS - 19,710; Clouse’s of Indiana – 19,127; Dwight & Marge Westercamp, IA – 13,171; Jan VanEtten, NY – 10,027; Jeff & Anne Mullinax, CA – 8,944; Bob & Lynn Bolyard, MI – 8,924; Dr Dan Hall, MN – 8,718; Will & Christi Sutton, MO – 8,106; Allen & Tammy Bush, CA – 7,820; Bob & Kathy Bomia, MI – 4,664. Congratulations to all who exhibited. The 2004 Sweepstakes series has begun. Good Luck to all that promote our “Gentle Giants”. I would like to take this time to encourage all Flemish Fanciers to attend the 2nd Annual All-Flemish show to be held at the home of Bob & Lynn Bolyard. The show will be held on the weekend of May 15th and May 16th. There will also be another outstanding show sponsored by the Michigan club this weekend. The Bolyard’s have an awesome place for a rabbit show. They have a great barn and plenty of space for everyone to have a good time. Our club is lucky enough to once again have Glen Carr as one of our judges. Another outstanding judge, Butch Hall will also help in doing the sorting during this must attend weekend. Tammy and I are looking forward to trying to repeat as winners of Best of Breed. We will once again be driving cross country to attend this one of a kind show. It will be very difficult for us to repeat. However, this is a show worthy of trying. Another special opportunity exists during this show. Everyone has the chance to end Bob & Kathy Bomia’s streak of 4 straight Best of Breeds at the Bolyard’s house. I for one cherish the opportunity to give Bob & Kathy a run for the top spot. Several other outstanding breeders will be present during the show. A few of them are the Clouse’s, the Westercamp’s, Dr. Dan Hall, Fred Russell, the Carter’s, the Welch’s, the Bloom’s, the Sutton’s, the Stephen’s and who can forget the hosts Bob and Lynn Bolyard. There will be countless other breeders who will exhibit outstanding animals during this weekend. Please come to the show. We will have a reduced entry price for this show. We will also have a separate Youth National Show. Tammy and I hope to see everyone at a show real soon. PLAN ON ATTENDING THE 2ND ANNUAL ALL-FLEMISH SHOW WEEKEND
